WHEN ARREST ITSELF IS ILLEGAL SEEKING BAIL WOULD BE AKIN TO LEGITIMISE THAT ILLEGAL ARREST.
It may be expedient to seek bail in the alternative but that is almost as bad as legitimising that illegal arrest.
It would be interesting to see what the court decides after hearing the ED submissions.

The current situation in India may lead to a dictatorship and the only thing that can stop that from happening is the ballot box (Surat and Indore do not bode well) or the Courts and, if all fails, the armed forces or a public uprising such as never seen before.
